Vienna University of Technology is the biggest technical university in Austria. It comprises 8 faculties, among them classical engineering faculties like electrical engineering and civil engineering, but also natural science faculties like mathematics, physics and computer science. Development work in almost all areas of technology is encouraged, first, by the interaction between basicresearch and the different fields of engineering sciences at the TU Wien itself, and, secondly, within the framework of cooperative projects with other universities, research institutes and business sector partners.
